Aside key interventions at the government level, addressing climate-induced water shortage and other related stresses in any society will also as a matter of priority looks in the way of engendering a water-saving lifestyle amongst the majority of citizens. Not until this is achieved will any individual country or the entire world as a whole will be able to sustainably adapt to the concerns of water and climate change. This is of particular importance to developing countries, especially those in Africa, where water security is still a big challenge.

Focus should also be given to fostering strong bilateral and multilateral relations among states and other non-state stakeholders, especially such that aims toward addressing common climate-induced water stresses. This should add to the global efforts to combat climate change and its untoward ramifications.

Addressing water supply through policies, actions and infrastructure is no doubt key. However, it suggests to me that governments at all levels and other stakeholders need to also look in the way of contamination of water supply through climate-sensitive pathogens. Proferring sustainable solutions in this regard will do a lot of saving lives to thousands to millions of people, especially in Africa where primary health issues are still largely unaddressed.
