Hassan Aboelnga

Civil Engineer, Masters in Integrated Water Resources Management

Hassan Aboelnga is civil engineer by profession, holding MSc in integrated water resources management from Technical university of Cologne. He is working as research engineer in water supply and sanitation projects in MENA region for providing solutions to the water crisis through integration with other vital resources with an interdisciplinary approach to development research. He is a board member of world youth parliament for water where Its main areas of work are advocacy, field projects and awareness raising in international level and local communities.

Mariana Paal Fernandes Martinato

Environmental Adviser | UN Global Compact Network Brazil

Mariana is the Environmental Adviser at UN Global Compact Network Brazil. She led the Sustainability Area at Grupo Abril for three years. She has a Business Degree by the State University of São Paulo (Brazil), with postgraduate studies in Sustainability and CSR Management by the State University of Campinas (Brazil). She has also concluded an entrepreneurship course in 2011, "Building a High Growth Business", at Babson College (USA) and, in 2013, participated in the executive course "Holism and Leadership - Transforming Organizational Practice" at Schumacher College (UK). Since 2005, Mariana has managed projects and programs in the areas of sports marketing, communication, leadership development, social enterprises, sustainability and corporate responsibility. She is a fellow at LEAD, an organization working to inspire leadership for sustainable development, and has participated in two international seminars concerning Sustainability, Climate Change and Megacities, in Bandung, Indonesia (2007) and Mexico City, Mexico (2008).

Diana Iskreva

MSc in Geosystem Management

Diana Iskreva is the Executive Director of Earth Forever Foundation, Bulgaria - a well established NGO, specialized in water and sanitation policy and management at national, regional and international level. Diana has 25 years of experience in the sector focused on project and program management, policy development, fundraising and negotiations on equitable access to water and sanitation, sustainable sanitation, school sanitation, human rights to water and sanitation, involving all stakeholders, water and sanitation safety plans, etc. Diana is a Board member of a number of international organizations. In 2012, AlertNet – the World’s humanitarian news site of Reuters, nominated Mrs. Iskreva among the 10 Water Trailblazers in the world.
