Jorge Werneck Lima is currently Researcher on Hydrology and Water Resources Management at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Vice-President of the Brazilian Water Resources Association (ABRH) and President of the Paranoá Watershed Committee (CBH-Paranoá). Jorge authored more than 200 scientific and technical articles, including 8 books. His work focused mainly on water resources management, hydrology, hydro-sedimentology, soil and water conservation, irrigation and environmental modeling. Between 1998 and 2001 he worked for the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) as Consultant of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), coordinating the Brazilian Hydrological Monitoring Network, analyzing projects and dealing with water, energy and food (WEF) nexus. He has degrees (MSc and PhD) in hydrology, always working with hydrological monitoring and modeling.
