Eis a questão.

Dear Prof. Fagundes,

Thank you very much for supporting this idea that was already raised. It seems that people who are not going to be able to attend the Forum feel that Your Voice will give them the chance to stay connected, discuss and contribute.

As you are going to be a speaker at the Special Session organized by Your Voice, you will have the chance to make the proposal again during the Forum itself. I am also a strong supporter of the need of Your Voice to continue operating towards the 9th World Water Forum planned to be in Senegal after 3 years.

In my opinion “No poverty” is the biggest challenge for the society on our planet. And I mean Not only from a moral reason ( which is very important ), it’s also effects our future on this planet because Whenever there’s poverty there’s no freedom of choice and you can leed people to actions of violence and wars.

We have the knowledge and we have the technologies in order to defeat poverty it’s only a matter of cooperation between countries.

Dear John,

Welcome to People e-room!

Thank you very much for noticing the efforts put to moderate the People e-room.

It ia a pity, you did not find time to contribute to the discussion early as it is obvious that you have unique experience to share and benefit the global water community.

I truly believe, that Brazilian government will hear voices like yours to continue maintaining and developing the Your Voice platform and turn it into traditional e-room for discussion and sharing among water professionals, academia, youth and civil society representatives.

Dear Mr. Sabary,

Welcome to People e-room!

Thank you for raising this important issue. I fully join your opinion that poverty deprives children of opportunities for development and deprives people of choice making them vulnerable to manipulation and misuse.

Our experience shows that provision of water and sanitation service have a lot to do with elimination of poverty and opening opportunities for better education, better health and easier access to job market especially for women and girls; especially those living in rural areas.

Dear Sebastiao,

Welsome to People e-room!

Thank you for introducing this new for this e-room topic.

As the audience is mainly international, please, will you tell us more about the background of this project. What made it necessary to stop using these springs and what makes it now necessary/possible to revitalize them? 250 springs - how much is this; what % of closed for use springs do they account for? Mariana - does it have to do anything with the mine disaster a couple of years ago?

Problem of water quality arises in the production of vegetables in peri-urban areas, because of the scarcity of water in the dry season in developing countries in the intertropical area (example of Central African Republic)

Producers use wastewater from wells or small streams to water vegetables. While some vegetables are eaten raw. This practice is dangerous for consumers ‘health because some vegetables are eaten raw.

The best solution are:

- NGOs must educate vegetable growers on well maintenance

- Government provide boreholes to producers for watering vegetables.

For the first time ever, with the adoption especially of SDG Target 6.3 ( “by 2030, …, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally”) water quality issues such as waste water (treatment and re-use of used water) has come to the attention of a broader public. Wastewater is not on top of the list when people talk about gender issues and water. But is wastewater gender neutral (as some key players seem to think)?

Dear Marcelo,

Welcome to People e-room!

Thank you for this very new for our discussion aspect that you raise: regulatory framework.

Surely, in the context of so called circular economy, your suggestion should be taken into serious consideration. Have you ever made such proposal officially? Do you know about similar legislation existing in some other countries? How do you plan to present your suggestion for legislative amendment during the World Water Forum?
