Bring your voice to the 8th World Water Forum!

We want to see and hear your voice; we need to know your story!

DURING THE WORLD WATER FORUM, MARCH 18TH TO 23RD, 2018, THERE WILL BE A SPECIFIC SPACE FOR MOVIES PRODUCED BY COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD CONTAINING THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH WATER ISSUES.

We would like to invite you to send your experiences with water sharing, good practices, new ideas, solutions, solved issues, and others that you may have with regards to water or its scarcity.

You can send us documentaries, fictions, animated movies that last up to 4 minutes.

To participate, fill out the application form – available from March until December 22, on http://filmambiente.com/festival/pt/a-voz-dos-cidadaos/.

To apply, you need to complete the form and send the link to the movie so it can be watched. If the movie is not in Portuguese or English, you need to send subtitles in either of these languages.

Remember: this should be a movie; therefore, it is important to show pictures of your experience, of what you are speaking and trying to demonstrate.

Exhibitions during the 8th World Water Forum

The Green Film Festival will exhibit, at The Mane Garrincha Stadium locatez in the Citizen's Villa, the best and most recent short and feature films produced around the world about water issues. Some movies will be followed by discussions with the director or specialists in the addressed themes. The festival will also exhibit movies that last up to 4 minutes, sent by people engaged with the theme, especially youngsters, women, traditional and indigenous communities, and general users of the Citizen’s Voice.

The 18 best feature films and 25 short films will be shown in Brasilia at four different times, from March 18 to 22. About 70 films registered for the Citizen’s Voice will be presented at the thematic sessions.

During the 8th World Water Forum, an international jury will award USD 3,000 to the best feature film and USD 1,000 to the best short film. They will also be able to grant special awards. In addition, the public will be able to choose the best feature film (USD 2,000) and best short film (USD 800). The six best movies presented in the Citizen’s Voice will be awarded USD 400 each. All awards will be given during a ceremony at the 8th World Water Forum.
